Why and when you should visit The Beautiful City of Venice

VENICE is said to be one of the most beautiful city in the world with its untouched heritage, spectacular stretch in the canals and its romantic vibes. People flock into Venice in mass to explore the beautiful city. The centuries old unchanged buildings gives Venice its incredible renaissance feeling. It’s a masterpiece and it feels like you walked into a work of art the moment you step into Venice. Most of the buildings date back to the 13th and 18th centuries. The city has strict laws about the preservation of its historical buildings. The stones and the bricks are possibly over 500 years so there is nothing to change in Venice. Its architectural edifice is what makes the city beautiful and tempting to visit.

Below are few among many to love about Venice

The Museums and churches: It would be impossible to come to Venice without visiting at least one of its museums and/or churches here. Not only are they works of arts in themselves, they are also a great part of the culture. Venice is devoted to art. You need to see what it offers. If you are here to experience Venice’s culture (and you should be!), you won’t be short of museums. Even the city’s 141 churches are like galleries in themselves. Some of the best museums include Scuola Grande Di San Marco, Punta Della Dogana, Murano Glass Museum, Palazzo Grassi, Palazzo Grimani, and Frari’s Church.

The Music: Music in Venice is what  they  are famously known with. Even if you aren’t a music lover, you will fall in love with its fantastic classical music. Any music lover will be blown away by the great composer of Baroque music. Concerts are held in various locations including Palazzo Barbarigo Minotto, Chiesa della Pieta, Ateneo di San Basso and Teatro La Fenice,. The music scene in Venice is exceptional and indeed romantic. With those sights and history, it wouldn’t be complete without some great Vivaldi music. If you can watch it live, please do. Music heals the soul

The food, hmmm, Venice isn’t really known for foods though Itlians do not joke with good food nonetheless do not doubt the tasty sea foods that abound there. The restaurants are nice and welcoming but overcharges the tourists. There food isn’t as tasty as it cost. To avoid feeling bad about the food and its cost, avoid restaurants that are populated by tourist. Choose a less tourist populated restaurants or head to the Rialto Market for fresh local food. It’s where you’ll find the Venetian locals because it is a port city.  The fresh seafood is brought to the market by fishermen and if you give it a try, you are guaranteed to be wowed by the flavours. It’s not cheap though, but Tasty.

The gondola ride is part of the Venice experience. It would be a waste of time coming to Venice without having at least one gondola ride. After all, it’s what the city is all about. However, a ride on one doesn’t come cheap. It costs around 100 euro for a 30 minute ride. But its worth it.

Cheap flights: Finding cheap flights to Venice is easy that’s where https://danzatravels.com/bookings.html comes in. (Cheap flights abound here). Flights to Venice come cheap but its 40km taxi ride into town that will cost you an arm and a leg – it can cost up to 120 euro. Your budget flight probably cost less. If you want to visit Venice, you’ve got to prepare yourself for the steep tourist prices. The locals aren’t happy about the hike in prices of things in Venice. They complain about it and since the surge in tourism, which continually grows, the rise keeps going up. It makes living in the beautiful city extremely expensive and for the locals, not possible. In other words, if you are seeking for a low budget vacation, Venice isn’t the place for it.

It’s Alleys: You might get lost while exploring the little alleys of Venice, but it’s better than following the crowds and doing the mainstream thing. You’ll really get to feel the unique charm of the city as you wander around the little streets. You’ll notice that houses aren’t numbered according to streets but districts which is why a lot of tourists get lost during their travels.

Absence of cars: In addition to the charming canals, bridges and waterways, one of Venice’s most unique features is the absence of cars. Boats and gondolas are not a stage prop. In fact, they are a necessity to living and travelling around Venice. You can’t live without a boat or gondola in Venice. Instead of seeing a car or a motorbike parked outside of a house, in Venice, you’ll usually see a boat outside tied with rope. Even the public transport in the city does not use cars or buses. They travel on water. That’s a big part of what makes Venice so unique and unusual.

This is Venice and lots of tourist abound here. There are always badly behaved tourists who will definitely get on your nerves. Dirty liters all over the place by tourists. Bumping into tourist who are either taking pictures or posing for one. It can get so annoying and grumpy but this is Venice, the tourist city. Respect and keep the City of Venice clean so it can be fun to visit again.
When and when not to visit The Beautiful city of Venice: Spring and fall are the best times to visit Venice. Winter isn’t recommended for obvious reasons – it will be freezing and wet. The only plus side to going in the winter is the lack of tourists. It’s a lot quieter in the winter months. Peak summer in Venice is not only humid and hot, but smelly too. Unless you want to spend your vacation holding your nose, it is better to avoid June to August. Compared to most landlocked cities, this salt water-fused city smells distinctly. Unfortunately, it’s not the nicest smell and is best avoided if you can.
